Food, consumables

  • I like North Chocolates, who are available online and also stocked at "Jamiesons of Cullercoats"
    • Liquorice and Blackcurrant (prefer milk, then dark)
    • Honey Pistachio
    • Raspberry Beret
    • I'd try Rhubarb Ruby!
  • I also like Hotel Chocolat: truffle selections

  • Liquorice tea (with no other ingredients). Clipper do some that are reasonably priced but hard to find in shops. (There's a shop in Royal Quays that has them apparently). Pukka do some as well but much pricier. Twinings seem to have stopped.

Beer

I like stouts and porters most generally, but I prefer them when they're no more than about 6% ABV; then things like milds. Marble Brewery (Manchester) produce some of my favourites.

"Hazy Daze" at the Spanish City might stock some interesting stuff.

  • Marble Brewery:
    • Marble Ginger: It's back! Marble are finally doing a Ginger Beer again
    • Marble Mild: My current favourite
    • Cherry Stout: not sure if they're selling this but I'd try it
    • Uppe Hela Natten Porter (5.1% ABV Irish Whiskey Aged): it seems to be out of production at the moment
  • Tiny Rebel Stay Puft (5.2% ABV Porter). This is tremendous.
