I've been working on a long project to import a large collection of (mostly) home made CD-R and DVD-Rs onto more future-proof storage. I'm writing about the project in stages. As I write each stage I'll collect links to them here.

  1. Gather the discs & preparation
  2. Initial import of the discs

I originally intended there to be a fifth chapter in this series: "Organising the extracted files". This is an important topic, and a big one, so it is best handled separately, as its own article or series.
