Punctual is a very simple shell prompt system, designed so I could have an attractive shell prompt on multiple systems and easily differentiate them.

It's so named because an overriding requirement for me was that it was fast. It's correspondingly under-featured. See Powerline shell for something much more featureful (and slower)

Punctual is written for the Bash shell.
