I've thrown together a small shell script that wraps around apt-cache search and apt-cache show. The plan would be to later on support other search techniques, e.g. apt-file, debtags, etc.

I've called it japt, merely Jon's apt, a somewhat pretentious title, I know, sorry. Someone may find it useful.
