Ok I wrote a patch for CVS HEAD and submitted it to Gallery's sf.net patches thing: patch-Tue_Dec_14_20:44:33_GMT_2004.diff. This patch is an improvement on the previous two as it alters the javascript things to work, so if you're interested I'd work from this patch.
